Ekstra - Starring Vilma Santos in the title role, ‘Ekstra’ is director Jeffrey Jeturian’s entry in the Director’s Showcase category of Cinemalaya 2013..Ekstra revolves around the lives of bit players in movies and TV, particularly that of Loida Malabanan (Vilma Santos), who struggles to compete with other extra for small roles. A former ‘crowd player’ in TV and film, Malabanaan gradually ascends to bigger roles. ‘Ekstra’ is one of five films in the Directors’ Showcase category of Cinemalaya 2013 which will be held on July 26 to August 4, 2013 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Greenbelt 3, and Trinoma.
